I feel silly to keep asking these seemingly simple questions, but I'm still having some problems. I'm unable to figure out how to set T2, and T3. All I can set is T1 along with my initial stop loss on the new order tab. I also don't know how to move my stop loss to break even, after T1 has been reached. Thanks.

Hi James,
No silly questions here mate, we all started some where and probably all asked the same questions.
On the metatrader platform, to set a t1, t2, and t3 when you open the trade, you would have to open 3 trades at once.
Each trade would be 1/3 of your total position size as worked out on the position size calculator.
Otherwise you have to manually close out 1/3 of your position at each take profit point, which means you have to sit with your trade or set audible alerts which are in the order toolbar.
To set your stop loss @ B/E, once your order is open just go to the order toolbar, right click on the trade, then left click on the "Modify or delete order" button then type in the stop loss box exactly the same number that is under the Heading "Price" (the one between symbol and s/l)which is the price you entered the trade at.
Hope this helps
Ian

Hi,

I referenced this free product in another post "this may be useful". I do not trade from within MT4, so I have not tried it, but I knew others did, and thought it may help them. This tool is supposed to be able do automatically all of the things you are asking about. Maybe you can check it out and report back. I believe the free version is limited to only one trade at a time.
