Hi Vahid,

In yesterday's daily report under SILVER you said that at one stage in your forex journey you used to trade on smaller timeframes, including the 1 minute timeframe and that it was a mistake.

When you traded demo you were able to triple your $500,000 account in six days using 1:500 leverage but to do this live trading the stress causes you to make mistakes.

Please would you relate more about your experience trading the small timeframes live and how long did you trade the small timeframes before deciding to stop?

Regards,

Hi,

That $500,000 account was just like a game. I still do it sometimes. It is not the stress that doesn't let you do the same thing in the live account, because for me live and demo have no difference. I don't have any stress with any of them.

I spent about two years trying different systems and researching, while I already learned the technical analysis and I was doing really good with it. At that time, market was not used to be so volatile and liquid. So support/resistance breakouts worked really good. I didn't have enough patience with bigger time frames because they could not keep me busy the whole day. When you trade with daily time frame, you just need to spend one hour per day. We are programmed by our life and our job. As my other job was used to keep me so busy for several hours, my mind didn't let me have a job that takes only one hour per day. You know what I mean?

So I started using the small time frames. There was another reason too. I had some friends who also traded with small time frames. So I wanted to follow them.

I think I traded using the small time frames for over a year. As I am so stubborn, serious and hard working, I don't give up so easy. So I wanted to make it work. I didn't want to accept my failure, but I didn't consider that I was not MY failure. It was the trading system failure. When I found out that my friends also are not consistent and they have been exaggerating about their success and hiding their failures, I decided to stop using the small time frames and get back to where I was: weekly, daily and 4hrs.

Hi Vahid,

Thanks - this business is certainly not like any other. The way we are conditioned to live and work as you mentioned, makes it the more so.
It will be great when for all of us here, we make this our business.
