Hi Vahid, I have been away from the forum for some three weeks as both of my computers recently crashed. Since returning I have noticed that in your intraday range trading you no longer make reference to the various pivot levels, I was just wondering if there is a specific reason for this, and if so why?

Hi Owen,

I am merely using the range breakout for our intraday trading program. I am not used to having the pivot levels with this system at the same time. The range breakout system works without the pivot levels.

Hi Vahid. the daily pivot levels have not changed on my euro and gbp 15 min charts since the charts opened up today. Is there something wrong here or am I missing something. The main daily pivot for the gbp is still at 1.5232 and for the euro it is still at 1.3335.

Please le me know what is happening. Thanks.

Hi Owen,

You have to shift to the daily chart to let the indicator extract the previous day data and calculate the new levels.

Hi Vahid, I was wondering why is it that the pivot levels program that you gave us does not update and give the new pivot levels on sundays going into mondays? Instead it reads at the top of the chart "not using sunday data for daily pivots". I know that the new pivot levels are available and can be found elsewhere, but shouldn't your program update them automatically? It does so on all the other days except sundays?

Hi Owen,

You just need to shift to a different time frame and then shift back to the time frame you were. It can not be done automatically because on MT4 each time frame will be updated only when you shift to it. Also the Sunday data has not effect on FxPro chart now because fortunately there is not small Sunday afternoon candle anymore.

Vahid, what I am saying is that even after I shift the time frames back and forth on a sunday, the pivot levels that show are the ones left over from friday, and this will remain until it changes on a monday at 5p.m. EST. The correct current daily pivot level on the gbpusd is at 1.5305 , on my chart it is still showing fridays daily pivot level of 1.52676. Why is it not updating on sundays?

It can not be updated on Sundays. It has to wait for the Monday candle close to have the new prices.
