I just opened a demo account on Metatrader 4 platform. Can anybody tell me what "Volume" means when placing an order. It's beneath the Symbol for the currency pair. Thanks...Very new to trading.

Volume is the lot size. The amount of the money that you trade. One which means one lot equals 100,000. So one lot GBPUSD means 100,000 GBP against USD.
