I had made a profile for GBP/USD looking at several timeframes with different indicators on different charts. It took a while to get everything the way I wanted but eventually I managed it. Then I wanted to do exactly the same for EUR/USD. Being lazy I did some investigation and found that the files which store Metatrader profiles are plain text.
I copied the whole profile to a new folder and then downloaded a batch search and replace tool called Text Crawler from http://www.digitalvolcano.co.uk/content/textcrawler and got it to do a Find and Replace, changing GBPUSD to EURUSD.
Hey Presto, I now have an exact duplicate of the layout and indicators for EUR/USD.

Thanks for the tip. Yes, the chart file which are placed in profile folders and have .chr extension (for example chart01.chr), can be edited easily and you can make a lot of changes on them
