I would have thought so, unless you are going to have many trades open at the same time. You would theoretically be able to open 20 standard $ lots as long as they didn't go into a net loss. Maybe 15 lots, without risking a margin call.
If you only ever have 2 or 3 trades open at one time, a $5,000 account with 100:1 leverage should be enough.
The broker that I use for spread-betting has various leverage for different instruments. Mostly 20 or 30 to 1, but they adjust the margin requirement to take into consideration any stop-loss that I have in place.
