It depends on many things including your previous experience of trading. I wasted a lot of money trading with very little experience but much ambition. Now I trade very small amounts while I am learning. If you are fairly inexperienced then I would urge you to start with a demo account which you trade as if it was real. Don't set any financial goals at the moment but keep a diary of all trades and work towards the point when you are consistently growing your virtual pot, and understand why! Then move into real trading with small amounts to get some practice at the real thing. Losing demo points is one thing but losing real money is different - you need to get used to the emotions. You will eventually progress to the point when you can answer your own questions. Your pot will be growing and you will be able to work out from your own experience what it will take to earn what you require.
I personally feel that a subscription to this site is well worth the investment. There is a lot of useful information here and Vahid is one of the most honest and helpful people I have met on the web.
All the best
Michael
