After reading report for GBP-CHF short trade setup I felt that required SL is too big for me (I trade constant number of lots) and decided to miss it, but today I saw a range on H1 and I thought that it is a chance to take this trade as a range breakout. I placed pending sell stop order just below range, stop loss just above it and take profit using 1:1 R/R system. This way I risk only 60 pips.
How do you think, is it correct trade setup to trade range breakout?

The number of pips you risk is not important. It is the % of your book value (ie equity) per trade that matters. Read the sections on risk and money management to get a grasp of that concept. It is vital to successful trading.

Thanks for the advice, but in my case it is important. I trade 0.1 lot and I cannot trade less, therefore sometimes I cannot take position with very wide stop loss, because it would jeopardize my bankroll.
