My computer crashed which required that I set up my Fx Pro with metatrader again. I opened a $3,000 demo account with 1:1 leverage to start, as this most closely simulates what I will do once I start live trading. I've not been able to place a trade, however because it says "NOT Enough Money" when I click buy or sell. I'm only using .10 volume. And I'm not using unreasonable stop losses. My stop losses have been between 100-150 pips, and targets have been set using the Target calculator.
My trade terminal says I have $3,000 with $3,000 free margin, and $3,000 equity.
The account history says Profit/Loss 0.00 Deposit 0.00 withdrawl 0.00.
Does anybody have any suggestions--I'm probably missing something really simple (again). I can't state how much I appreciate the help I've recieved on this forum to this point. Thanks...

If you buy or sell dollars - 1 lot = 100,000$ and 0,1 lot = 10,000$, so you can't buy/sell 10,000$ if you have 3,000$ and no leverage.

As Any says, you are trying to operate an account with no leverage and with a $3,000 account can basically do nothing.
Do you still have the email that you would have received when you opened the original demo account? If you know the account number and pass number of the original account you will be able to access it again.
