My order was not filled. It came within about 2 pips. I think you will be alright though because it still looks like the pending order will get filled and and it still looks like a valid setup.

 I'm afarid I won't be.
Just triggered stop loss, anybody with broker using 3+pips spread on that pair got filled and closed with S/L. Looks like there is a strong resistance (having in mind current overall sentiment "risk off") that could be a place to short. I agree it still can be broken to the upside later, but I'm not sure if I want to swim in this river again.
When I was going to send this post just found:
just got the signal about invalidation of EURJPY (unfortunately my broker has stolen this trade  )and a new one on AUSUSD... gonna go to the charts

Vahid,

I guess that we are having again problems with the signals that your are sending. The EUR/JPY order I had it at 110.865 at the FXCM and at the same point at the FXPRO. The FXCM open and It hit the stop loss. It is strange that it open at one broker and not at the other. I know that there is the pip cost.
I would rather that you continue making the videos and leting us know that there is a trade forming. Than it is up to us to take the position and ajust or target. The same way you were doing a couple of days ago. It looks like you send the signals and the market reverses right there!

Sorry about the criticism. But I really love your program and I'm learning a lot from you.

Its a bit early to say there are problems after one signal! It is always up to you whether to take the trade and where to set SL/TP. You can choose to copy Vahids, calculate your own or ignore the signal.

All the best

Michael

Vahid,

Nice trade signal on the AUD/USD. I guess no one will complain about that one. But on a serious note, I have a question on how you decide to place your SL when we enter a trade by this method. It seems to me you are placing the SL 75% of the way from the 100 level to the 61 level of the fibo levels. Am I correct or is there other reasoning in setting the SL?

Thanks
Bill

Yes, recently I see no connection more frequently.

It is not strange at all. Different brokers have different spread and you have to adjust the filter with the spread that your broker offers. I send the signals based on FxPro spread. That order was not triggered on FxPro.

You can still take the trades the way you like. I still show the forming setups. You can enter any time you like. Whatever I do there are always some members who complain. So I must do something that I think is better for the majority.

Quotes will vary from broker to broker. If you are not trading on FXPro you will need to adjust your entry, SL and TP to your brokers quotes as if you were taking the trade on your own. I do not trade onFXPro and always calculate my own points as stated above if I decide to take the trade. So there is really no difference if he sends the signal or says there is a forming trade setup. If I would of entered the EUR/JPY trade on the sent signal I would have been stopped out also but adjusting the points to my broker my order never got filled. Came within 2 pips of filling my order.

Thank you Bill.

Hi Bill,

Thank you. Yes that was a "perfect" trade setup.

Regarding the stop loss, I preferred it to be set under the low price of the candle that was breaking about the 100% level. We could have a tighter stop loss but I preferred to use a wider stop loss and then move it to breakeven when the trade is in a reasonable profit. For the stop loss sometimes I act based on my gut feeling.

Hi all,
I have been trying to understand Expert Advisors for the last week or so now but I am no further advanced that I was when I started. :( Yea I know dumb Aussie  )
Michael mentioned that it may be of use to my system a little while ago, and I was wondering if Michael,or someone could possibly point me in the right direction as to where to start.
Now you have to remember the IQ you are dealing with here, so if anyone can help could you please start at pre-school level.
Thanks in advance
Ian

By the way I hope no body that is trading on Go markets set the GBPJPY trade, as it would have been triggered as would the s/l due to a spike on the go markets platform.
I've attached the charts to show the difference.

Why do you have an interest in Expert Advisors?

What I am actually looking for Bill, is an audible alert for when the RSI gets into overbought/sold.

Now that makes sense to me. ;) I was trying to figure the same thing out about a week ago but unlike a dumb Aussie I am just a dumb Southern boy. Wish I could help but I need it as much as you.

He he I don't feel nearly as inferior now
It is a built in feature on IG Markets but unfortunately on MT4 it is not.
But the good thing is, it is most likely already made some where and on possibly the MQL forum or some other.
I shall keep searching.
Cheers
Ian

Hey Ian,

There are a ton of already produced indicators, even systems, for just about every purpose on the web. I often find what I need at forex-tsd website ( I am not advertising, so I don't think Vahid would mind). There are a few other good ones as well.

Just type what you are looking for in the search, like RSI indicator, or RSI Alert indicator. Here is a link I found quickly. There are a lot more:

http://www.forex-tsd.com/setup-questions/14880-rsi-indicator.html. I have not looked at it, so I don't know if it is what you need, but I am just showing an example of how you might find what you need.

Also, you'd be surprised what you can find by just using Google. Try googling RSI indicators for MT4 or similar searches.

Hope this helps.

By the way, I dabble in MQL programming myself, and have written a few indicators which send me email alerts when various conditions are met. However, there are times when I need something which is beyond my current ability, and for these tasks I use the services of an excellent MQL programmer. I can provide a referral if you are interested. Just PM me.

Vincent

Well I've been searching well into the night (your trading day) and I have come to the conclusion that -yes I am as silly as I look

It seems that what I am really after is an indicator not an EA.
Having said that, I have found both that are very close to what Bill and myself are looking for but they will need some alteration I think.

Am I right now in saying that an EA is used for strategy testing, and its the indicator that I want to give me the audible alarm??????
So the EA that I have found will back test and give a buy/sell signal whenever the price crosses the 70/30% line, and, give the results.
The indicator seems to change colour when it crosses the line but so far I can't get any sound.

I will try to attach them, although last time I did that it wouldn't let me.
Cheers
Ian

It won't allow me to attach the one with the MQ4 ext. Is there a way around that?

Hi Halvardu,
Thank you very much
Yes I think that is what I am looking for but would I have to change the "alerts on "to true and the "alerts sound "to true? If so that's easy done on the indicator drop down box but it has a 50 level cross alert. Is that something that would need to be changed in the Meta editor?
I need the alert to sound @ 22.5% cross and 77.5%

Now is it possible to turn that into an EA
I am thinking that:- open trade -- s/l -- t/p would have to be added but I certainly have no idea how to do that.
