Hi,

If there is a need, I can make a expert advisor (ea) that follow the signal Vahid creates.

I could work like this:
1. Put a file in experts folder named latest_signal.txt
2. Start the expert advisor
3. The expert advisor reads the file and open a position, when it reaches the first target it moves stop loss etc etc.

The file could look like this:
Hello,

EUR-JPY Short (Sell) (25 August ; 01:14 PM ; EST)
Our Entry: 134.968
Stop loss: 136.170 (120 pips)
Target 1: 134.361 (60 pips)
Target 2: 133.758 (120 pips)
Note: Move the stop loss to breakeven (134.968) if the first target becomes triggered.

Ie just copy your email context into a textfile and start the expert.

I think that will be our first version, the next version could be a ea that takes the signals automatically, ie you will not have to copy your email and create text files and so on.

Hello my friend,

Thanks! I read your answer in the other forum.

That is a great idea. You can create the first version of the EA and those who are interested can buy it from you.

grufgran, Vahid,

While all this is fascinating, I just wanted to know if there was a way to reset the stop loss to break even on a second position after the first target is reached. I take it the only way to do that is to use an EA--an unfamiliar area to me, but one that sounds interesting to explore.

Hi Gene,

Yes that is possible. An EA can do it easily but I don't think we can find any EA to do it for us in the way that we want. We have to make one for our own purposes and needs. Hopefully Grufgran can do it.

Well, the ea will of course be free of charge, after all I don't even know how the payments should be arranged.
If I can contribute with something here I will be only glad.

Thanks my friend but it is ok to charge for a small fee. However, it is up to you.

Hi Grufgran

Sounds like a good idea... I would be interested in this also. Another thing: Do you know of any good websites to learn about EA's (specifically how to program them). Although I am not a programmer myself by trade (biochemist), any time I have had the opportunity to program anything I have enjoyed it (call me strange  ) and would like to try it out when I get free time.
Thanks!

Wouldn't the EA have to take into consideration the account size and risk ratio to determine the position size at entry? Also the % of position to close at !st target.

About the risk ratio: absolutly! I see this as a percent of the balance will be risked in the trades.

About closing a % of position at 1 st target is new to me, the plan is to only move the stop loss. But hey, we can do anything since it is we that makes the ea.

I will start working on the ea today. I'm quite new to programming eas, but have long history (>15 years) of programming.
So it is hard for me determine how long it will take before the ea is ready.

I'm no longer a member of forexoma service.
The reason is that I'm not 100% sure that this tradingstyle fits me.
I saw in another topic that somebody found a ea that can move stop loss to target 1 and so on.
That's making mine obsolete.
So this thread will be "paused" for the moment.
