Hi Any and Bill,

Looking at the GBPAUD on the chart for this system I see a sell setup formed an hour or so after my buy stop on the FLMA trade setup was triggered.

Did you guys trade this pair today?

Regards,
aquiagora

Hi, I saw it too but my broker takes 16 pips spread I hope you took it. I see that this pair is very good for the system.
I took long EURCHF but the market is slow now and don`t know if it will stay above the resistance -1hr. (RSI touched the 50 level only)

Hi,

I did not feel comfortable with the GBPAUD buy trade and had thought of cancelling it on Friday but decided not to interfere with it and then let it play itself out. The AUDUSD was looking strong as well today, which was an indication that the GBPAUD buy trade could fail.

There was a buy setup under this system on AUDUSD at 07:00 CET, which I missed.

What matters is I made the trade and did not see the sell setup on this system until afterwards.
A 16 pip spread is almost enough to stop you from trading it but even so there are still some good clean moves with this pair.
Regarding your EURCHF trade it looks like it would be prudent to move your s/l to break even now.

aquiagora

Hi,
I closed it with small profit. I don`t like to leave open positions during my night time.

Hey Any,

You have more experience than me with this system. I was wondering if you have had any success trading this system with the JPY pairs. I see a possible setup happening on CAD/JPY but I don't seem to have much success trading the yen. I know you said before it works on the USD/JPY but I was just wondering about the other yen pairs. Thanks for your input.

Bill

Hi,
I had only two trades on the JPY pairs - GBP/JPY and USD/JPY (profitable). On the JPY pairs I prefer small candles if the candles are big (often with long shadows) the EMAs are constantly crossing each other and using this system is as random walking and then there is no diffrence if we have 100SMA or not.
I took long CAD/JPY (in the morning CET) there was a breakout - 1hr (closed with profit) so the resistance works now as support and was tested a few hours earlier.

Hi Bill,

I know I am not Any but just to get my oar in, yesterday morning I made my first JPY pair trade with this system, on USDJPY.

Buy entry at 87.050, later moved stop loss to 87.450 and was stopped out.
It is a habit I find hard to break, that is moving the s/l up too far too soon.
I see it is more risky on the JPY and CAD pairs where there are often big spikes.

No trades on this system today - how about you guys?

Only thing I see is the USD/CAD is giving signals but I'm confused. Earlier today it gave a sell signal then a few hours ago it goes the other way and gives a buy signal so I don't know what it's going to do. So I guess I'll just watch.

With the benefit of hindsight I see that if you were nimble, the early morning sell setup was according to the rules, the 5 EMA crossed below the 12 EMA and RSI was heading down to the 50 level and the price was below the 100 SMA so about 40 pips could have been made.

The buy setup later was not quite in accordance with the rule insofar that the price was still below the 100 SMA but as it was so close it would have been worth a try and you could be 40 pips up and still in the trade.

It looks so easy afterwards.

So did you enter on the close of the candle that just crossed the 100 SMA?

Not many good setups. Might can sell USD/CAD in a few hours.

Hi,
Market is waiting for news.

I see that the best setup is when there is a bullish/bearish engulfing pattern or a hammer/inverted hammer before crossing - that is the perfect trade setup in this system.
