Hello Angie,

I really know nothing about Murray levels, and don't really want to complicate my strategie by trying to understand another method, but i am happy that this strategy seems to work for you :)
I don't know if it is the same for everyone, or because I am slightly colourblind, but when you change the colour of your profit pips, i find it nearly impossible to read whan against a white background. I have no problem reading when your trade is showing a loss, so hope that I cannot read a lot more :)

Hello Keith,

Thanks for the words of encouragment. I will make sure I use dark colors for now on when applying the profit +/-. I understand when you have a system that fits your personality and you are comfortable why add or substract from it. May your strategy continue to grab many pips from the market. Happy new Year to you and yours. :D

Wishing you a Happy and profitable New Year as well :D
I do believe that your decision to stay out of the market at the end of the year was sensible. Personally, I've not made a trade for a month now, but that is more to do with me not spotting any good set-ups than intended abstinence. Also I've been without an internet connection for some extended periods :x
Hopefully the market will be back to normal now and we will see some good possibilities.
Do you keep your results on a spreadsheet? It would be interesting to see a results table of your actual trading.

Good luck

Keith

Keeping a Spreadsheet will be a good ideal. Let me give you my history of trading. I have been demo trading off/on for two years now. I recently started trading similiar ways like Vahid since last month. I subscribed to forexoma on December 2, 2009, and then I decided to end my subscription this month. I do not trade Vahid signals but the education I gained in that one month was unbelieveable. I will join again, but at this time I can't due to financial issues. I just started trading this system and currently demo trading on a live Oanda account. I started this journal to somewhat act as a spreadsheet for my trades, but I will start an excel sheet. I love this system and I'm sure I want need anything else. So thanks for the ideal of a spreadsheet. My goal is to make 15% profit per month even with my Oanda acct which is under $90 dollars. So we shall see and I'm so ready.

As promised I have made it home from work and I wanted to upload my charts. So today was the most important news releases in the forex world (my opinion). This morning the GBP/CAD and EUR/CAD trades were in profit. Before I updated the stop loss I changed my charts to the line chart to look for more support and resistance lines. On the Eur/Cad I found an area and after the price had passed that area I decided to lock in that trade at that s/r level and the price reversed and hit my locked in profit. The GBP/CAD trade was in profit of +32 pips and before I went to bed last night I set the stop loss at break even. Price returned and hit BE. I changed the trades and looked for other exiting options due to the major news releases. Truth be told on the Gbp/Cad trade I should have closed that trade at the close of 1/7/10, candle for it closed as a hammer. So with this weeks trading I made a few mistakes that I will learn from. I'm excited and look forward to next week trading.

Update for the USD/CAD trade, my Oanda account shows that this trade is currently +21 pips in profit. Over the weekend I will analyze this currency more and see if I made the right decision keeping this trade open. :geek:

Okay as promised here's the Eur/gbp chart. This trade hit my profit target quickly and then the bears took over.

The weekly chart shows the price hit the 5/8 murrey level and then reversed. I choose that level minus 10 pips as my profit target.

Okay I have uploaded the aud/cad and usd/chf charts. I realized after zooming far out on my daily aud/cad chart, the 1/10/2010, candle did not completely close above the s&r line. only half of the candle closed above the s&r line and this trade was not valid. Okay another minor mistake, but I have learned from it and I will make sure I zoom out and in. The great thing about using good money management is the most I can lose is 2.3 - 3% per losing trade. It took me awhile to learn the value of good money management.
