Forexoma Forex Auto Trading Robot - A New Approach to Automated Forex Trading

Good To Know | Tuesday, September 15th, 2009

I am pleased to announce that after so many months of testing and developing, our forex auto trading robot is ready to be launched.

I know that most of you, have already tried all the auto trading robots offered over the internet and you have seen nothing but losses. I am not interested in trading robots at all, because forex trading is a visual art and skill and a robot can not see many of the things that a professional and skilled trader can see. Now the question is if our robot also makes you lose money? No, there are several differences between our Forex auto trading robot and the others.

First of all, this robot will not be downloaded and installed on your trading platforms. This robot works on our server and its signals will be sent to the members. There are several advantages in this:

  • Members will not have to read the instructions and learn how to use the robot and they will not have to deal with several different settings. So they will not make any mistake in launching the robot on their platforms and they will not lose money because of the installation and technical mistakes. They also don’t have to be worried about running the robot at any special time to trade on a special market session, or on dedicated servers to avoid the internet connection failure. They only receive the buy and sell signals and they just need to take the positions.

  • Our robot trading systems have to be updated almost on a daily basis, according to the market condition. Any trading robot has to be supervised and optimized regularly by a professional and experienced trader who is aware of the market’s different conditions and changes, otherwise it will make money one day and will lose the other day. This is one of the problems that most of the robots currently offered over the internet have. Buyers just download a file that has to be copied and pasted on the their trading platform and nobody supervises the robot. A new version comes every now and then, but it still loses money, because the forex market is always ahead of it and it can not be adjusted to the market current condition properly and on time.

  • The most important advantage is that you will not have any trading robot working on your platform physically and so it will not attract the attention of the “greedy brokers” to increase the spread and hunt your stop loss or not to let your target become triggered. This is a big problem with most of the forex auto trading robots. Brokers can see that it is an EA or robot which takes the positions automatically and they try not to let the clients go home with a profit at the end of the trading session. Many famous brokers showed their true faces after so many years of giving service, when they decided to make more than their normal spread through manipulating the positions taken by trading robots.

  • The other robots can work only on MT4 platforms, but our robot doesn’t make you limited to any trading platform or broker.

The second difference is that our robot is not an scalper. Most of the other robots are just scalping robots that take the positions while the market is calm and quiet, with a very tight take profit order that “hopefully” will be triggered with the random fluctuations of the market, on small time frames like 15min, and with a very wide stop loss. Forexoma robot is not like that. It uses several different trading algorithms to find the buy-sell signals on big time frames and it has reasonable stop loss and target values. Of course it can also be used on small time frames, but we will not do it.

Now lets focus on the questions that you may have about this robot.

How will the Forexoma auto trading robot be offered?

For now, Forexoma Auto Trading Robot’s signals will be added as a new service to our current forex trading signals program (Forexoma Live Market Analysis) without any extra charge. So members will not have to pay any extra money to receive the “Forexoma Auto Trading Robot” buy-sell signals. A new section will be added to our Forex market analysis report platform and the robot signals will be published there. They also will be sent to the members through email and SMS. We will have our current market analysis and signals too and the robot signals will be just an extra service.

How are the “Forexoma Auto Trading Robot” buy-sell signals?

They are a little different from our current Forexoma Live Market Analysis signals. They will have only one target and they come with a trailing stop loss with most of the positions. Their stop loss and take profit values vary from 50 to hundreds of pips, based on the time frame that the trade setups form on. This robot is active on the monthly, weekly, daily, 4hrs and 1hr charts with 25 currency pairs, gold and silver. The signals it finds will be posted on the forex market analysis report platform and also will be sent to the members via email and SMS automatically. Members have to be careful and consider the money management rules when they want to take the positions. Those members who are new to forex, can demo trade the robot signals for a while, to learn how to use them properly.

Forexoma Auto Trading Robot’s signals will be completely independent from our routine Forexoma Live Market Analysis signals. It means you may already have an open position through the Forexoma Live Market Analysis signals and at the same time our robot sends you a signal. It is also possible that the robot sends several signals with different currency pairs at the same time. Members should not take all the positions or if they want to do so, they have to be careful about the amount of the risk they take. The total amount of the risk that you take in all positions should not exceed 2-5% of your capital. If this amount of risk is already taken and the positions are still open, you should not take any new position.

What is the format of the robot signals that will be sent to the members?

This is the general format of the signals that will be emailed to the members:

Subject: Forexoma Robot: Buy GBP-JPY

Email body:
(15 September ; 09:26 PM ; EST)
Buy GBP-JPY at 150.14
sl: 149.36 tp: 150.89 ts: 60

and this is the general format of the signals that will be SMSed to the members:

Forexoma Robot: Buy GBP-JPY
(15 September ; 09:26 PM ; EST)
Buy GBP-JPY at 150.14
sl: 149.36 tp: 150.89 ts: 60

“ts” is the trailing stop loss. It is your own choice to use it or not, but it makes the trades safer sometimes. When a signal says “ts: 60″, it means you should set a 60 pips trailing stop loss. If you do so, when your position is 60 pips in profit, the stop loss will be moved to breakeven (the entry price) and for each pip that it moves toward the target, the stop loss will be moved one pip further. So if it goes against you at the middle of the way, you will be out without any loss or with a small profit. If your trading platform doesn’t support trailing stop loss, you just need to move the stop loss to breakeven manually when your position reaches to the trailing stop loss value that the robot sends you with the signal. You will need to move your stop loss after that.

How many signals will be sent by the robot everyday?

I know that this is the question that I will be asked very frequently by the beginner traders. So I answer it here. This robot doesn’t produce any signal. No robot or trader is able to do that. Like a trader that has to analyze the market and find the buy-sell signals and wait for a trade setup, Forexoma Auto Trading Robot also has to analyze the market and wait for the trade setups. It depends on the market. Sometimes there are several trade setups within a short period of time and sometimes there is no trade setup for a long time. However, our robot’s buy-sell signals frequency is more than the signals we have in our routine forex trading program at Forexoma Live Market Analysis.

When the robot sends its signals everyday?

Forex market is a 24 hours market. Our robot can find a trade setup at anytime. Unlike the other robots, it is not limited to any special trading session like Asian session. It works 24 hours per day, 5 days per week.

What is the success rate of the “Forexoma Auto Trading Robot” signals?

I do not believe in back-testing at all. It doesn’t make sense even for robots because live trading is different even for robots. So “Forexoma Auto Trading Robot” has never been tested through back-testing. It has been tested on the live market for over one year and its success rate is over 80% in average.

Will the “Forexoma Auto Trading Robot” signals and positions be analyzed and explained on the Forexoma Live Market Analysis Program?

Not at all. We don’t have time to do that. As I said the “Forexoma Live Market Analysis” program will be continued as it was used to be. The robot signals will be completely independent.

When will the robot signals be added to Forexoma Live Market Analysis?

From the next week.

Thanks for your patience with me. Should you have any questions about the “Forexoma Auto Trading Robot“, feel free to post a comment using the below comment submission form.

hi Forexoma,
i really appreciate sharing your robot with us and i wish other sites may learn from you and to think for supporting there clients instead of giving them the profits at the beginning and then take it again with nice way & many orders 5 buy 5 sell some hit sl and the other never hit targets because target below a supp. or ress. and then after 1 month of high profit starts loss and say oh this is forex we all know the rest i love you my client but there is a bigger than you i must respect .
wish you more success

Forexoma,

You are very generous to add such a nice feature to your existing service. Thank you so much.

Being one of those who lost money using many different robots in the past, I have to admit that I am somewhat skeptical that a robot can be truly successful over the long term. That said, none of the robots I’ve tried were actively “managed” either, so I am sure that makes a big difference. Given that you are such an honest and trustworthy individual, I am willing to give it a try, though I’ll confess that I am still more excited about learning the proper way to trade on my own. I do have a couple questions about the new robot if you get some time:

1) Is the robot aware of news events or does it blindly trade right through them?

2) Does the robot send the emails with the signals automatically, or do you have to review the trades before they are sent to members?

3) What strategies does the robot use for its signals? Does it use the same strategies that you use for the manual Forexoma service (candlesticks, bollinger, rsi, etc.)?

4) What risk-reward ratio will the robot’s signals typically use? Approximately 1:1?

Thanks again for everything!

Scooter

Hi Scooter,

Thank you too.

1. Yes, it is aware of the news and can not be deceived by any sudden movements and noise. On the other hand, as I said it is always supervised.

2. It can send the emails automatically but for now, we confirm the trade before sending.

3. It uses the current system but also some other indicators that are designed for the robot.

4. 1:1 and sometimes 1:1.5 and 1:2.

Hello Forexoma,
This sounds great. The only resevation I have is that there may be too many signals? Is it more likely that more than one signal will be sent most days? If so, it would make it difficult for the less experienced to choose which one to take or whether to take them all or not. Are you able to reassure / advise regarding this.
Many Thanks,
Richard.

2009-09-17 10:46:35

Hi Richard,

Yes, we may have several signals per day and you are right. This will be a problem for less experienced traders who want to make the maximum profit within the shortest time and they may take all the signals. Although most of our members are really good and disciplined, unfortunately we have several less experienced traders too.

We can advise but again - unfortunately - some members are not used to read the things we write and say. So the only option is making the robot limited to one signal per day.

Forexoma,
Thanks for the quick response. Will we be able to distinguish between the automated and manual signals? When you say limit the robot to one signal a day is that something we can do or something only you can do? I’m excited but also a little anxious as I’m new to it and doing very well. I may choose to take your manual trades for a while and just monitor the auto trades. Would that be a possibility and does it sound like a good strategy to you.
Many Thanks Again,
Richard.

Dear Forexoma,

Congratulation for the launching of the robot :)
You are very amazing, never tired to develop your program.

Recently, I put a free robot from a brokerage in my demo account.
It starts with one trade : sell or buy but at the same time, it has a bigger lot pending sell or buy. If the first trade is negative and the chart hits the pending trade, the robot will put another pending buy or sell with bigger lot than the second one.
When the robot finally stop, I lost 50 points after I count the profit and loss. And this robot needs at least $2000 for deposit.

How about your robot? how does it work? does it needs a large deposit?
Can i get the robot if I become a member 3 month later?

Thank you and have a good day,
Nana

Thanks, Ron.

Comment by Forexoma
2009-09-19 14:11:14

Hi Ron,

They will be equal to TP2 but the stop loss has to be moved by a trailing loss or manually when the trade is in a special amount of profit.

2009-09-19 14:30:14

Forexoma,

Thanks for your prompt answer regarding the robot. I’ve read just about all the material in the archives and I noticed you used to manage the trades with trailing stops.
Did you find that it’s more profitable to use a TP2 with a breakeven stop than continue to use TS? I think I will use a TS for TP2 after taking TP1 profit, to preserve some profit
rather than accepting a breakeven trade, if the trade goes against me, unless you’ve found that moving TP2 to breakeven is more profitable. Your TP1’s have seemed so reliable in the past, and my former greed has made some of my good trades become unreliable, that a TS after TP1 is successful seems like the way for me to go.

Thanks, Ron.

2009-09-20 21:10:19

Hi Ron,

It is always a good idea to take some part of the profit and then move the stop loss to breakeven. A trading rules says, whenever you take a profit, you are right.

Forexoma,

I have 3 questions about member services. I don’t mean to be rude. These are genuine questions.

1) You have a lot of articles with which readers can learn a lot of knowledge. If someone can learn all the things explained here, why should he/she should go ahead with membership? I mean what MORE is there in the membership service that is not here?

2) In many articles in the website, you stress how your service and website are different in that, they try to impart education rather than just trade alerts. But now, your robot does exactly the opposite. All it does is give out trade alerts with no education. Aren’t you deviating from your own methodology?

3) If you already are earning so much money on trading forex, why charge for membership again? (This is something which I never understand with any membership based websites, not just yours)

Thanks,
Swetha

Comment by Forexoma
2009-09-20 23:19:43

Hi Swetha,

Thanks for your questions.

1. In the members area, we analyze the market lively and members can see how the techniques explained on the articles can be applied on the live market. Forex trading is like driving. You can read several books and learn everything about driving theoretically. However, if you don’t practice, you will never become a driver.

2. As it is explained above, the educational part of our program remains intact and it is even improved by adding a new section to it which is the daily, weekly and monthly candlesticks analysis and trading: http://www.forexoma.com/daily-candlestick-analysis-and-signals-in-our-forex-trading-program/

Our robot’s signals are just for having more trade setups for those who have more appetite to make money.

3. Professors who teach in medical schools, also make money through practicing. Why do they still want to make money through teaching the students in the medical school? A builder can make a building for himself for free. Why does he still charges the others for the job he does for them?

It is normal to sell a service or product. However, for me this business is something I really enjoy and love. I have explained it on the home page (http://www.forexoma.com/). Forex trading alone is boring and is not productive. It makes money, but it is not productive. I can not be a mere forex trader. I am a writer and blogger. Even if I stop this business, I have to start another one while I also trade forex.

But why do I charge? The reason is that before this service, I started publishing buy-sell signals and market analysis for free, for a couple of times. As it was free, I didn’t have any serious commitment and so I stopped them easily after one month. But I still loved to do it. So I decided to do it under an official business name that makes me fully committed and pushes me to keep on working. Also many of my website users asked me to run an organized and paid service.

Hope these explanations help.

Hi Forexoma

Quote “It has been tested on the live market for over one year and its success rate is over 80% in average”

What does this equate to in percent profit if you risk a fixed % of your account per trade? (for example 2%)

Can you publish the results for the robot from your one year live test?

Brenton

Comment by Forexoma
2009-09-21 22:21:45

Hi Brenton,

Taking 2% risk in each trade and having 80 successful trade our of 100 becomes 120% profit.

I have to collect and organize the results. They have not been in one account and one broker and also the robot has been tested with several different settings that each of them had different results.

Comment by Brenton
2009-09-21 23:13:57

Hi Forexoma

I concur with your 120% if the profits and losses are all the same size.

eg 80 profits at 2% = +160%, and 20 losses at -2% = -40%
Total profit from 100 trades = +160% - 40% = 120%

However as you use a trailing stop I assume some of the 80% profitable trades could be stopped out at the trailing stop for less than 2%, then winning trades could range from just over 0% up to 2%, so the +160% would be the absolute best case. So it really depends on the average winning trade size. Do you have know what this would be?

Even if the average winner was 1% it would still be a good return, ie 80 profits at 1% = +80% and 20 losses at -2% = -40% therefore total = 80%-40%=40% profit per 100 trades.

Now, it all depends on how many trades it gives per year on average. I’ve had three signals already in one day, at that rate it could be over 600 trades per year, is that likely?

Some of the results I would like to know are:
Percentage of trades that reach full profit target.
Percentage of trades that hit stop loss (20%).
Average size of profitable trades (assuming 2% risk per trade).
Number of trades signalled in the live one year test period.

I am happy to follow your live analysis trading signals as I can see the analysis you’ve done, and can see your track record since starting the Forexoma service.

I find it difficult to just follow these robot trade signals when I know very little about the robot or the expected performance, hence the request for some more info about the live testing results.

Best Regards
Brenton

2009-09-21 23:24:35

Hi Brenton,

On the previous tests, we have not used any trailing stop loss. Trailing stop loss is added to the robot recently to make the trades safer. We still don’t know what effect it will have in long term because sometimes it closes a trade that could hit the target. Of course in many cases, it closes the positions that have changed their directions and could be ended with loss.

As it is emphasized on the above article, members need to demo trade the robot signals to get used to them, as long as they follow the routine programs of Forexoma Live Market Analysis. Also having the trailing stop loss is up to them. Some traders use it and some of the others prefer not to use it.

Hi Forexoma,

thanks for your hard efforts to keep the service you do provide at a high level and expanding it constantly.
The EA, which signals you are posting is a quite interesting stuff.

Could you please share some results about performance of your robot (EA)?
I am interested to know how it works in terms of expectancy and R-distribution.
Could you please post the results of your system’s testing ( you mentioned that you have tested the EA for a long time with real trading data, not only backtesting)
For example:
1) How many trades have been performed during the test period (lets say last 5 months)?
2) Average hours in average trade?

3) Average winning R multiply?
4) Average hours in winning trade?

5) Average losing R multiply?
6) Average hours in losing trade?

7) Winning percentage?
8) R-multiply expectancy?

No doubt that would provide more clear view about the robot’s performance so far.

Best regards
vidosole

Hi Forexoma,
firstly, let me congratulate you for the great and highly informative website. I have looked at hundreds of websites and yours is by far the most thorough and honest I have found. I have only been trading demo accounts for now and I am using your immense website to gather more knowledge and skills. The first thing I will do when I have a little more experience is subscribe to your market analysis and signals and trade them in the demo account for a while before I go live (around January, I think).
I have a question about the robot though. By what I read in your article it seems to me that the robot, which sits on your side, not on our PCs, computes the data and comes up with the signals. These signals are then emailed or sms’ed to members who will have to manually enter them in their trading platform. Is this correct?
Trades will not be automatically placed by the robot as our “agent” with our broker, right?
Is this going to be a problem for people who live in opposite time zones, like Japan or Australia? Wouldn’t these people miss out on many trades because of their time zone (they sleep while the main markets are open). Just a thought…. but I am sure you have the right answer that makes total sense!!
Thanks a lot,
regards
Emanuel

Hi Emanuel,

Thanks for your comment.

Yes

Yes

No, the robot can find a signal anytime 24 hours a day. Forex is a 24 hours market. You may miss some of the signals, but there are always many signals that you can take.

I didn’t join the Market analysis program until April 2010. Is the trading robot still a part of the service?

No we are not using it for this program anymore, the program has become stronger and we have better and more signals now.

Thank you. Do you mean it is a separate program, or is it no longer available?

You are welcome. It is no loner available because we already had several sources of signals and it could make the members a little confused.
