Forex Market Analysis and Signals | Thursday, February 5th, 2009

Hello :)

One of the two positions we took last night triggered the target and the other one is still on the way. It went about 65 pips below the entry but I was not at the computer to close it. It still looks like a good position and I will keep it. If you are not happy with it you can just move your target to breakeven and you will be out with zero pips.

My special appreciations to all of you nice people who have supported me so far. I will do my best to serve you better.

Let me think what to say about the tip of the day.

Tip of the day:

Ok! This isĀ  the “tip of the day” for today.

George Bernard Shaw: “People who say it can not be done, should not interrupt those who are doing it.”

Today signals will be posted in the below table at 17:00 EST which is 22:00 GMT. Make sure to be on time!

Announcement (02:17 GMT, 6 Feb): Ok! We are done for tonight. No more orders. Click here if you are late.

Note:
1. Read the disclaimer before you use the below buy/sell signals.
2. If you have not received the below signals on time, just compare the current price with the entry price and do not take any position if the target is already triggered or the price is close to it.
3. Please note that some of the below signals can be pending orders. So read all the explanations carefully before you take any position.
4. Cancel all the pending orders that are not triggered from the previous day.

Forexoma, Where would you recommend us to go or look to be able to speak to professional traders like yourself and friends of yours.

I really would love the chance to maybe speak to them on a message board or something.

Hi Sean,

My friends don’t participate in any forum. They don’t like it and additionally they are too busy to do that. If you have any question for them you can tell me and I will ask and will let you know.

Best regards,
Forexoma

Forexoma,

what do you think of the USDCAD right now, I see a pin bar created on weekly thats last week’s, andnow its somewhere close to this starting point, and the daily one just closed with a doji bar and was not able to go below the low of previous day?

Hi,

Although I believe it will go down for the next 24 hours at least, I will not take any position because the last a few candles are closed above some strong support lines.

Best regards,

Hi Elyaz,

Thanks for your attentions.

Working with big time frames like daily and weekly is one of the solutions. You will have more emotions when you work with small time frames.

USD dollar index is still in a (choppy) uptrend - which is overall bearish for EUR and AUD etc.

Hi Forexoma,

Great job on these calls, you are on fire bro!

I’m new to forex and I had a few questions for you if you don’t mind. I’ve been reading your articles and looking through some of the previous day-to-day analysis that you did and I can’t quite figure out how you made the call for today’s (Feb 5th) USD/SEK sell signal at 8.2850 at 22:20 GMT. Could you maybe give a short explanation of what made you take that trade, I’d really appreciate it.

Also, I agree with most people on this blog that you should trade your own way and others should decide on their own if a particular trade matches their style and account size. But just to be clear (as I mentioned I’m new to forex), I see that on the USD/SEK trade you have a $15,880 initial hard stop point, is that correct or am I not reading that correctly? Coming from equities and commodities, this is the biggest departure in trading styles that I see specially when your profit target is 1/4 the stop loss. I’d love to know your though process for this particular trade.

Thanks Forexoma and keep up the good work.
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I just went short below a strong resistance when it assured me that it can not break above the it.

Regarding the stop loss, I have to say that I choose the optimum place for placing the stop and I don’t consider the target. For me, whatever the target is, whether 1 pip or 200 pips, the stop loss has to be placed on its suitable place not closer. I have already lost a lot because of having tight stop losses.

Forexoma

Hey Forexoma,

Kinda might be a stupid question, but I’m not sure how to simultaneously place a OCO limit/stop loss order on a trade and also place a trailing stop using the flatform on forex.com.
Am I supposed to wait till the price goes over the entry price and then cancel/replace the OCO with the trailling stop, or will placing another trailling stop order on the currency work with the OCO…???

THanks!

by the way, a friend of mine said that the USD/SEK signal happened due to announced news that volvo had lost 300 million dollars due to the economic crisis.

Is this how you devised your signal Forexoma?

Comment by Forexoma
2009-02-08 10:01:00

Hi Sean,

No, I had no idea about that announcement. On the other hand that news is not able to make any reasonable movement in the market. It is like a droplet in the ocean.

I went short below a strong resistance line when I made sure that the price is not able to breakup the resistance.

Best regards,
Forexoma

Thanks,

Hi Jonathan,

I check all the pairs and if I see any signal I will post them on the site. So if I really see any good sell signal with GBP/USD I will post the signal.

I expect the gbp/usd to start going up very soon. So I personally don’t take any short position. But it is up to you if you like to do it.

Forexoma
